The following is suggested work for this week that the children can complete at home. Please do not feel under any pressure to complete it all, use it as a guide and only do what you can and what suits your personal/home environment. If you have any questions about this weeks work or need anything explained please don't hesitate to contact me at msbrazill@sspeterandpauljns.ie.

We have included some Irish work this week. It is using some of the online 'Abair Liom' games that the children are familiar with and there is no written work to accompany it. We understand that every family situation is different and this work is not meant to cause any extra stress or pressure, just do what you can :)

For Maths this week, the PowerPoint/pdf version, is for the whole week. It has an activity for each day as well as questions and images of the pages to be completed in the book. We hope this helps with the tasks.

Once again, I have uploaded both a PowerPoint and the same file in PDF version for you. If you cannot access the PowerPoint, PDF’s are easier files to open and work on most platforms :)

The following is suggested work for this week that the children can complete at home. Please see it as a guide and do not feel under any pressure to complete it all. We understand that a home classroom is very different from our actual one, so only do what you can and what suits your personal environment.

Extra activities and useful resources can be found at the bottom of this page.

There will be PowerPoints uploaded to accompany/support this work, but if you do not have the software to open this type of document, I will also upload the PDF version, which generally is available on most platforms.

I am also re-uploading how to access the E-Books below this weeks suggested work. We are using Busy at Maths this week which is available online for those who may not have their textbooks.

Reminder on how to access BUSY AT MATH/CJ FALLON:

Most of you have collected your child’s Busy at Maths book from school. If you have not collected this book you can access this online. There is an online platform that you will need to register an account with in order for your child to access this book. If your child has this book home with them then you can ignore this part.

The first website you will need to register with is called CJFallon. This is the website where your child will access all the Busy At Maths E-Book.
Step 1. Click on student resources
Step 2. You will need to choose from the list of books. You can select the Busy at Maths book by clicking the options seen in the photo below.
Step 3. Click on the image of the eye under the heading Actions.
Step 4. Fill in your name and email address and click to open book. You will now have full access to the Busy At Maths e-Book.

Reminder on how to access FOLENS ONLINE:

Step 1: Go to folensonline.ie.
Step 2: Select Teacher
Step 3: Fill in a username, email and password.

Monday 30th March

The following is suggested work for this week that the children can complete at home. Please be aware that although we are setting work as per department guidelines, this is suggested work and only complete what you feel is realistic. The well-being of the children and their families is of the utmost importance and you as a parent are in the best position to judge the work your child can undertake without causing unnecessary negative feelings.

Extra activities and useful resources can be found at the bottom of this page.

Parents,

You will need to create an account on folensonline in order to access some of the work that we have assigned. I have attached information about how to do this below. Please note that you will need to register an account as a teacher so be careful with that part.
******************************************
Please note that this website may be experiencing a lot of traffic and the registration process may not work straight away, if this happens you can leave it and try again later.
******************************************

Once logged in you can search the title of the book you are looking for.

This is what it should look like.

You will then need to activate your account by clicking the activation email which should have been emailed to the address you registered with.

Hi everyone! We are delighted to announce that next week is SS Peter & Paul’s Wellness Week.  Pupils, parents & staff have worked extremely hard since mid-March. Next week will be an opportunity for the school as a whole to step back from the books.  Our mental health & self-care is so important. Therefore, we will be suggesting some well-being activities to try together- mindfulness colouring, mindfulness breathing & meditation, nature art & gratitude.  All classes from Junior up to 2nd will receive the same suggested wellness plan for the week. We look forward to recharging the batteries & focusing on our well-being together as a whole school community. The Wellness Week Plan will be up on the blog on Tuesday morning! I have also received lots more photos, that you can look at on the Our Class from Home page to check out what everyone has been up to! Finally, a big Happy Birthday to Emily who turned 9 yesterday! ...
